Updates 8/6; Pay-to-Participate Fee and New Sitting Out Rule
Update one:
"Hello parents,
As we approach the end of band camp and the start of the season, Ms. Guillereault and I have noticed more students sitting out from educational activities and games. We do not want to push students to the point of illness, but we do want to hold students accountable for their commitment to the activity. That being said, we are now instituting a new rule. Students will be allowed to sit out of physical activities during practice twice per season before bringing a doctor's note excusing them. That being said, if it is very clear a student is at practice and needs to sit down due to an urgent medical issue, we will still let them sit out, regardless of whether or not a doctor's note is presented. If students violate this rule, they will be asked to sit from the upcoming performance. We want to put the best version of our band on the field each Friday night while keeping your child's safety in mind. If you have any specific concerns, please reach out.
Best,
Grace"
Update two:
"Hello everyone,
Please turn in the 25 dollar pay-to-participate fee with your student's name on it to the main office as soon as you are able. As a reminder, if students have not paid this fee by the first football game, they will not be allowed to perform. Thank you!
Best,
Ms. Reven"
