The 2026 music awards were given out at the Spring concert on May 5th, 2026. There were four recipients of five band awards in the 2025-2026 school year. The Louis Armstrong Jazz Award was created with the intent to honor an outstanding jazz musician on the high school level. 2026's winner of the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award was Jake DuChene. At their first State Contest appearance since 2022, the Ontario Symphonic Band earned a Superior Rating (I), the highest honor awarded in any Ohio Music Education Association contest. This is the second Superior rating earned in school history. This is the first time in school history that "straight ones" have been earned at Large Group, meaning that the highest rating was awarded by each judge. Congratulations, Warriors! The Ontario High School Marching Band will return to Disney in 2027! The Ontario Warrior Band was selected to perform in a parade on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom based on their demonstrated marching and playing skills. Students traveling to Disney will also have the opportunity to explore Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Universal Studios.
