Hello everyone,

I hope week two is going well for everyone!

Senior Night

Band senior night will take place this Friday, August 28th. If you are a senior and have not yet filled out the questionnaire, please fill it out here.

Timeline (NOTE; it is different than the timeline on the Friday night timeline. The change is due to an updated schedule from the Athletic Director);

Band room opens; 3:00pm.

Warm up; This week, it is the individual’s responsibility to warm-up between 3:00pm and 5:20pm.

Call time (in uniform, ready to go); 5:20pm

Senior pinning ceremony; 5:30 pm

March to stadium; 6:18pm

Pregame starts; 6:37pm

Game starts; 7:00pm

Game ends; 9:30pm

Rides ready; 9:45pm

Senior Boards

Senior parents, you will need to set up senior boards in the North West corner of the stadium by the concession stand. You will need to provide your own table for senior boards. There will be a mandatory parent/student meeting to discuss the ceremony and senior night at 5:15pm. The pinning ceremony will begin at 5:30pm in the auditorium. Due to the space, ONE parent per student will be allowed on stage.

Pregame Order

  1. We will start with our traditional field entrance. Senior families should be backfield during this time.

  2. At the start of the trumpet march, senior students will move to the back sideline to meet their families.

    1. When the seniors move is a change from previous years. They are moving during the trumpet march this year, instead of after. This is to save time earlier in the pregame, in order to allot more time to senior recognition.

  3. We will split the block. Seniors will move down the middle of the field with their families to be recognized. Seniors and senior families line up on the sideline as they are recognized.

  4.  Families move off the sidelines.

  5. Senior fight song.

    1. Seniors play the fight song once through from the sidelines.

    2. The rest of the band joins in the second time.

  6. Seniors rejoin block.

  7. The block comes back together as one.

  8. National Anthem.

  9. Move to tunnel.

If you have any additional questions about what to expect on senior night or senior night traditions, please contact band booster president Katie Spellman at spellman.katie@olsohio.org
